Covid-19 Updates and Precautions

 PRECAUTIONS

At The Sanctuary Holistic Healing Center LLC, we want to provide a safe, relaxing place to help you with your wellness needs. Due to many concerns regarding COVID-19, we are taking extra preventative measures to maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff. Keeping our guests and team safe is our top priority.  This is being achieved both by maintaining best sanitation/cleanliness practices.

Staff and Guest Safety

We require our guests and staff members to stay home if they have experienced fever, cough, shortness of breath, or a body aches in the past 14 days.

Anyone with these symptoms will not be charged a cancellation fee if we are given a notice before the scheduled appointment begins.

If you enter our facility with these symptoms, or the service provider notices these symptoms during the service, the service will be immediately stopped, and you will be charged full price.

Touch Free Service

Our service is usually all hands on, however we have added some new services, such as Reiki (energy healing), Hypnotherapy, and Infrared light therapy, which are all therapies that do not require us to have hands on.

Sanitation/Cleanliness

Sanitation and cleanliness are our top priority.

As one of our sanitation procedures, we will be wiping down every possible surface, including, door handles, I-pads, counter tops, and tables face rests, tables, table legs, floor and more. In our community restroom we wipe the toilet seat and handles, sink handles, light switches, and doorknobs between guest usage.

We will use a Hospital-Grade Sanitizing & Disinfecting product called Force of Nature, an EPA-registered disinfectant & sanitizer that kills 99.9% of germs, even Staph, MRSA, Norovirus, Influenza A, Salmonella, and Listeria when used as directed. It’s on EPA’s list of Disinfectants for Use Against SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19.

Sheets, as always are laundered by a service and are washed in a peroxide solution. In house linens are washed with bleach and soap, and the dryer is used an additional 30 min after the linen are dry to ensure sanitation.  All tools are washed with soap and water, then set in Barbicide disinfectant to ensure extra sanitation.

Our service providers will schedule enough time to thoroughly cleanse and sanitize the room up to the guidelines set by our trade associations, CDC, OSHA and health department.

We have so many more sanitation and disinfection protocols in place, we are happy to provide further details upon request.

Social Distancing

While the one on one interaction with our guest is essential to provide service, we will follow the advised recommendations as much as possible.  We will be taking the initiative to not have more than 10 people in one area at a time and ask that a 3-6 ft distance is always maintained.

Air Quality and Purification

We are excited to start using our new Triad Aer Purifier devices in every service room and a bigger one overnight for the whole Spa.

Our service providers will turn on a small device in the rooms after every service and off before the next service begins. During closing hours, we will set the Triad Aer Purifier that will help disinfect up to 3000 sq ft of the Spa.

The Aer devices electronically charges negative ions at airborne particles suspended within the enclosed environment. The ions attach themselves to pollutants, making them too heavy to remain afloat and quickly knocking them out of the air. Additionally, the device creates low level ozone, an effective gas which can reduce bacteria, molds, and fungus. The result is an effective reduction of dust, dander, smoke, allergens, & odor resulting in a healthier, fresher, & cleaner environment.

What we require from our clients to maintain our regulations

Clients MUST wear PPE

  • Upon arrival to the office we ask that you apply a face mask before entering our facility. If you are receiving a massage you will be provided  a clean new disposable mask in the treatment room for your service.

  • Please use the supplied hand sanitizer to cleanse your hands before entering.

  • Optional items such as gloves and shower caps are available for use upon request.

Do I have to wear a mask and why?

Yes, for all of us to remain healthy and for the business we run to remain open we have implicated the new rules of masks being worn to best protect ourselves and our great customers.  Service providers will also be wearing masks, we understand that it can be uncomfortable and extreme but at this time we must participate in the recommendations that the CDC, and other regulating boards require. If/when this changes we will be sure to let you know if/when masks, a necessity during services, will hopefully no longer be.

Why Do I have to remove or cover my shoes at the door?

The soles of our shoes are covered in lots of bacteria and germs, so to prevent them from spreading further we are requesting that our guest mist the bottom of their shoes with our shoe mist or we can offer you disposable pedi flip flops, or shoe coverings at the entrance.

Payments

Contactless payment such as paypal and venmo is available.

CAMTC/ ABMP/State Board of Cosmetology/Chiropractic Association

As a licensed business of  Medical Massage Therapy, Chiropractic, and Esthetics, we will be following the instructions and guidelines of CAMTC & ABMP (California Massage Therapy Certification & Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals). CAMTC & ABMP will be in contact with the CDC regarding the current COVID-19 situation and will notify us if/when we should reopen. We are also in regulation with the boards for chiropractic and cosmetology.

We have received certifications for Infection Control, Barbicide sanitation, blood board pathogens and a few others to familiarize ourselves with precautions.

Prevention Plan

Our Prevention Plan is in place for Safety, Efficacy, and Efficiency.  We have set a high standard to help do our part in reducing transmission, providing a sense of security and safety for our clients to come, and be cared for. We hope our clients will honor our systems as we work hard on these best practices to, one day, have these restrictions and requirements lifted.  We strive to continue to provide the highest quality of safety and service to our clients, we appreciate your participation as we move through this challenging time.
