My Story
My Story Changed Everything
The greatest teacher in my career wasn't found in a classroom.
It came from my own body.
In my early 20's, I loved being active. Sports, fitness, and movement weren't
simply hobbies—they were part of who I was. I never imagined that my own
body would one day become my greatest challenge.
After years of living with chronic pain, I ultimately underwent four hip surgeries and a spinal fusion.
I experienced the uncertainty, frustration, setbacks, and emotional exhaustion that so many people living with chronic pain know all too well.
Pain has a way of changing your life.
It doesn't just affect your body.
It changes how you move, how you sleep, how you work, and how you show up for the people you love.
For me, one of the hardest realities wasn't simply the physical pain—it was realizing that it was beginning to limit the kind of mother I wanted to be.
Of all the roles I've been blessed to have in life, being a mom is the one I cherish most. My greatest joy has always been creating memories with my daughters—playing, traveling, cheering them on, staying active together, and simply being present for the everyday moments that matter most.
When pain began taking those moments away, I knew something had to change.
That journey gave me more than a new appreciation for healing—it gave me a deeper understanding of what my clients are truly fighting for.
Most people aren't simply trying to get rid of pain.
They're trying to get their lives back.
They're trying to pick up their grandchildren.
Take a family vacation.
Return to the golf course.
Sleep through the night.
Work without constant discomfort.
Exercise again.
Or simply have the energy to be present with the people they love.
That realization transformed the way I care for every person who walks through our doors.
Today, I don't just see tight muscles or restricted movement.
I see someone's story.
I listen carefully because I know that behind every painful shoulder, aching back, or injured hip is a person who simply wants to live life more fully again.
Those experiences became the heart behind The Sanctuary Holistic Healing Center.
I wanted to create the place I wished had existed during my own hardest seasons.
A place where people aren't rushed through appointments.
A place where they feel heard.
A place where treatment is personalized.
A place where healing begins with hope.
Today, every treatment, every conversation, and every recommendation we make is guided by one simple purpose:
To help people restore their bodies, reclaim their lives, and return to the people and moments they love most.
