This state park is perfect for anyone who loves to be surrounded by nature without having to leave their neighborhood! There are no bathrooms on site, so make sure you have everything you need before heading out there.

Las Juntas Open Space is a hidden gem in Pleasant Hill, California that locals have been enjoying for many years! Las Juntas Trail is about two hours long and not too difficult at all - great for any age or skill level that can take their dog on a leash with them while they explore the park's amazing wildlife.
Las Juntas offers residents an escape from urban life in this natural environment where it will always be waiting to welcome you back when you need some time alone outside of your neighborhood.
There is a canal on the walkway at Las Juntas Open Space that has water spouts and benches for people with dogs. When you reach the summit, there are views of your surroundings in every direction as well as paths to stroll or run along if you're feeling active!
Mt. Diablo can be seen from Las Juntas Open Space, which is almost entirely undeveloped. There is no parking and no facilities, but the views are breathtaking.
This open space doesn't have much but if you just want to spend a few hours with nature, soak in gorgeous sceneries then this is a good place to spend those few hours.
And since this open space has easy to trek on trails, then this is a good starting point for small kids to hike or bike.
Go before sunrise and you'll be rewarded with a beautiful sight. It makes an already breathtaking surrounding even more wonderful.
