Hidden Lakes Park
Morello Ave & Chilpancingo Pkwy, Martinez, CA 94553
Hidden Lakes Park is a hidden gem in the city of Pleasanton. It's located on the corner of San Antonio and Cochrane, sitting next to John Muir Middle School and across from Alameda Creek Golf Course. A variety of different ecosystems can be found at this park: wetlands, grasslands, oak savannahs, and even a small vernal pool with its frog population. One great thing about Hidden Lakes Park is that it has trails for walking or biking around the perimeter as well as various activities like soccer fields, basketball courts, and more.

The favorite spot in town where people can go to exercise their legs while enjoying some recreation on a beautiful day. Hikers can walk around the perimeter of Hidden Lakes Park, which is about 7 kilometers long.
Hiking trails are available at the back of the park behind an old barn that's used for storage for John Muir Middle School. The view here is very nice with trees and grass everywhere. Birdwatchers could also find some common birds like jays, sparrows, finches, and robins fluttering around.
There are many different ecosystems to explore here including oak savannahs, wetlands, and grasslands among other things! It has beautiful views of the mountains on one side and Alameda Creek on another side so there's plenty to do outside.
Another popular activity at this park is biking. Biking is easy because there's a wide flat trail that goes around the perimeter of the park with plenty of space for people to pass you by if you go slow enough so usually there isn't much biking traffic unless it's done on weekends or holidays.
This park is very popular among the locals of Pleasant hills for hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities. A nice way to relax after work or school during your weekend hikes is invigorating and helps to relax, it is a great hobby that lets you see new things each time you go hiking. Plus, there are some nice views here of Alameda Creek on one side and views of the hills on another side It had just the right amount of people around are not too crowded but also not too quiet.
